Pattern Corrections

All of our patterns are edited by a professional tech editor. Nevertheless, errors do occasionally slip through. Following are corrections to Basix patterns. If these errors do not appear in your version, then you have a revised edition; the revision date is listed on the lower right-hand corner of the last page of the pattern. If you think you may have found an error that is not listed here, please email us through our Contact page.

103 – Killarney Top-Down Pullover: Under Needles, add “size 4 (3.5 mm) circular needle, 24″ long, for neck.”

106 – Boston Top-Down Hooded Coat: Under HOOD, Shape Hood, you will shape the left side of the Hood first, then the right side. At the end of the short-row shaping, in the last sentence of the paragraph before Shape Top of Hood, after “Place marker between center sts,” add “remove other markers. Under BODY BAND, on 6th line of first paragraph, change “ending at lower Right Front edge” to “ending at lower Left Front edge”. These corrections have been made in rev.01.14

107 – Rockport Top-Down Shell: Under Yarn on page 1, the yarn should be listed as Light worsted/DK weight, not worsted weight. Under Back, the instructions under Shape Neck for the RIGHT and LEFT SIDES are reversed. The RIGHT SIDE neck shaping should read as follows: “Next Row (RS): K1, M1-R, knit to end. Purl 1 row. CO 2 sts at beginning of next 2 RS rows – 12 (14, 16, 17, 21, 24, 25, 28, 30, 29, 30) sts. Purl 1 row. Break yarn, place sts on waste yarn, and set aside.” The LEFT SIDE neck shaping should read as follows: “Next Row (RS): Knit to last st, M1-L, k1. Purl 1 row. CO 2 sts at end of next 2 RS rows – 12 (14, 16, 17, 21, 24, 25, 28, 30, 29, 30) sts. Purl 1 row.”

108 – Bristol Top-Down Cardigan: On page 2, under Back, first sentence should read as follows: “With RS of Back Collar facing, using longer circ needle, CO 12 (15, 16, 18, 21, 24, 25, 26, 27, 27, 29) sts for left shoulder; working along long unmarked edge of Back Collar (not along edge with slipped sts), slip 1 purlwise from first Collar dpn, pick up and knit 46 (46, 46, 48, 48, 48, 48, 50, 50, 50, 50) sts to next Collar dpn for center neck, slip 1 purlwise from dpn; CO 12 (15, 16, 18, 21, 24, 25, 26, 27, 27, 29) sts for right shoulder – 72 (78, 80, 86, 92, 98, 100, 104, 106, 106, 110) sts.” On page 2, line 7 in second paragraph under “Shape Neck and Armholes”, “purl 1 row” should read “work even for 1 row.” On page 3, third line under Shape Hips, the last word in that line should be LLI, not M1-R.
